Frozen Pineapple Margaritas
Frozen Pineapple Margaritas consist of five simple ingredients including silver tequila, Cointreau (or triple sec), fresh lime juice, frozen pineapple, and ice. Add simple syrup for some extra sweetness if you’d like, and enjoy the best summertime cocktails!

Pineapple Margaritas
I’m a margarita girl, and so I’m constantly trying new versions. If you come to my house, you’re most likely going to be served one of these! Sometimes I store a few frozen margs in mason jars in my freezer. Is there anything better?
Since I’m not into super sweet cocktails, I love making them at home so I can control the sugar content. However, I realize that lots of people like theirs sweeter which is why I also keep a jar of simple syrup in the refrigerator.

- Beautiful – I love the bright yellow color of these margs. Add a little garnish to the top along with a nice salty rim!
Ingredients Used:
- Tequila – Use a good quality silver tequila.
- Cointreau – I prefer to use Cointreau over Triple Sec. A bit expensive but worth it.
- Fresh Limes – You’ll need several limes for these. Freshly squeezed limes are key to great margaritas!
- Frozen Pineapple – This is a key ingredient and frozen pineapple is so easy to keep stocked for these margs!
- Ice – You’ll need about one cup of ice to add to the blender (for each batch).
Optional Ingredient – I always keep some simple syrup in my refrigerator to sweeten drinks for guests. We prefer ours without, but also realize that most people like a sweeter cocktail.
How to make Simple Syrup:
- Combine equal parts water and sugar to a saucepan.
- Heat over medium heat and cook mixture until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat.
- If you want to add mint (for mojitos) or limes/zest, you can add that in the pan too.
How to make the best Frozen Pineapple Margaritas:
Step 1
Combine ingredients. Add all ingredients to a blender – the tequila, Cointreau, freshly squeezed lime juice, and frozen fruit.
Step 2
Blend. Blend until smooth.
Step 3
Add ice. Add approximately one cup of ice or enough to make the margarita mixture thick. Blend again.
Step 4
Repeat. Repeat this process if you want to make extra margaritas to keep on hand in the freezer. I filled the container below and it’s easy to scoop into glasses.
Step 5
Prep glasses. Run a lime wedge around the rim of two glasses. Dip glasses into a plate of kosher salt.
Step 5
Pour/spoon. Pour margaritas into the glasses. Add a garnish of pineapple and a slice of lime to garnish.
