I’ve officially joined the sourdough bandwagon, and have a lovely starter that’s been providing me with the building blocks for ALL the sourdough! Let’s name it! 😀
While I don’t have a blog post YET with instructions to make a sourdough starter, it’s on my to-do list. I’ve decided to really get to know the process before I share it with you. But first. A name!
Let’s pretend my starter is a pet. Because after all, it requires daily feedings. In my case, it is also nurtured and talked to. After all, I AM an Enneagram 2!
The giveaway is two of my favorite products, made in the USA! (Amazon Links)
How to enter:
Note: If you live outside the USA, I will Venmo you the American dollar value if you provide me with that info.

The deadline to enter is midnight (Central Standard Time) on Thursday, July 2, 2020.
Thanks for following me and helping me name my sourdough starter!

Herculyeast!
I like Thelma! I have not tried to make sourdough before, but have gotten into bread making during quarantine so would really like to try. I plan on making a sourdough starter after summer when I have a little more time!
Thelma has my vote! She’s strong, responsible and makes life so much better when she’s around.
Many years ago I got a packet (yes a packet) of sourdough starter when I visited my sister in San Francisco. Made some tasty breads but it was maintenance that I just didn’t have the diligence for at that time in my life. Looking forward to your recipe and hints!
Cheers!
I vote Sasha! I haven’t tried sourdough yet, but have thought about it.
I vote for 4) Gertie. I have not made sourdough bread for maybe 20 years!
I choose Moira, for Schitt’s Creek! I have never made sourdough, but my mother did a lot growing up and I’d like to learn.
I have not made sourdough before. I live it when in San Francisco eating clam chowder. Will I try to make it??? Yes, one day by the end of the year will be my goal.
I am voting for Sasha. I like the way Sasha Sourdough Starter sounds
I like Gertie for some reason. No, I’ve never made sour dough but look forward to trying!
Can we submit multiple votes? Household split between Thelma & Gertie.
I was gifted a sourdough starter so I’m on my third week of baking round boule loaves. Great taste; need to improve overall appearance (spring, crust). Refrigerate my starter & only feed/bake on weekends.
I like Gertie! She has some sass to her.
I’ve never made it before but would love to!
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to make this recipe.
I’m voting for Thelma because we’re driving through the northern Colorado brush and Mesa countryside. Seems appropriate. Also, it’s my favorite on the list.
So I vote for Thelma, just don’t drive her off a cliff!! 😂 I have not made sourdough but I do love it!!
1) Moira because if it’s an awesome recipe you’ll want “more-ah” lol! Just saying! I have never tried not only a sourdough starter I haven’t ever tried period. Yes! I want too and now I have yours to go with! My family loves sourdough and I never knew it was as possible until now. Thank you!
Moria ~ I never have made Sourdough before but would love to try it. It would be great with a Spinach dip. Those pans are the best, the only ones I use and recommend.
Gertie!! The obvious choice, yes I have made sourdough but can’t get that good oven spring!
Gertie
I have been a follower of your site for a while.
I like the name Sasha
I had made sourdough many years ago, but now that I can’t
get yeast I started another batch.
Been making bread, English muffins, pancakes and pizza dough to
name a few.
Hey Sue, just thought I would let you know that on this page, the website it doesn’t show the 4th name Gertie.
Which page are you looking at, Cheryl?
I choose 4) Gertie
I’ve never made sourdough bread but I’m sure I will after I get your recipe 🙂
