Ingredients
1bottleRosè wine
8cupscubed watermelon, frozen
1/3cupsimple syrup
1/4cuplime juice - freshly squeezed from approximately 2 limes
the zest of one lime
watermelon wedges- as garnish
Instructions
Prep in advance, so everything is nice and cold!
Prep watermelon. Cut a watermelon into chunks, and measure out about 8 cups. Place in freezer for several hours (or overnight) to freeze completely.8 cups cubed watermelon, frozen
Make a simple syrup. In a small sauce pan, combine equal parts sugar and water (1/2 cup of each in this case). Bring to a simmer and stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat. Zest one lime and add to the pan. Squeeze two limes and also add to the simple syrup. Pour everything into a mason jar and let cool. Strain the zest from the liquid, and then place in the refrigerator to chill.1/3 cup simple syrup, 1/4 cup lime juice , the zest of one lime
Blend ingredients. To a blender, place half of the chilled wine, 1/4 cup of the lime simple syrup, and a few watermelon chunks. Blend until smooth, and then add more watermelon until you get a nice consistency. Repeat with remaining ingredients.1 bottle Rosè wine
To serve, pour into glasses, and garnish with a watermelon wedge. Enjoy!watermelon wedges
