Our Supreme Pizza Recipe combines a variety of bold toppings, including pepperoni, sausage, ham, green peppers, onions, and black olives, over a base of tangy tomato sauce and melted mozzarella. Baked to golden perfection, this pizza offers a deliciously balanced mix of savory meats, fresh vegetables, and rich cheese.
Prep dough. Make our quick pizza dough recipe (or purchase dough from the store).1 round homemade pizza dough
Prep toppings. Brown the sausage until cooked through. Slice veggies - peppers, mushrooms, onions.
Shred cheese. Use a box grater to freshly shred the mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
Roll out dough. Add a little olive oil to a clean board. Sprinkle a little flour over top. Then place the round of dough on top and use a rolling pin to thinly roll out the dough into a round shape (if using a cast iron skillet) or other shape if using a pizza stone. Gently add it to a greased cast iron skillet.
Add pizza sauce. Then spread the sauce over the dough and use a spoon to spread to all sides.1/2 cup pizza sauce
Add toppings. Add some mozzarella and parmesan cheese over top the sauce. Then add the prepared meats and veggies and evenly distribute them over the cheese. Add a little bit more cheese on top.1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, 2 oz. Italian sausage, 1 oz. pepperoni, 2 oz. ham1/2 cup mushrooms, 1/4 cup red onion, 1/4 cup bell pepper or jalapeno, 1/4 cup sliced black olives
Bake. Bake the pizza in a preheated 500 degree oven for 15-18 minutes.
Serve. Slice the pizza and serve with your favorite sides.
Notes
Yes, you can make any pizza recipe on the grill. Make sure you crank the heat up very high and use a pizza stone. It's also best to use indirect heat if possible.
If you roll out the dough pretty thin, you won't need to par-bake the crust. If you're making a thick crust, you may need to par-bake to get the crust crispy.
You can make the dough several hours in advance and store it in the refrigerator. About an hour before using, remove it and let it come to room temperature before rolling out.
