Blood Orange Margaritas combine a simple combination of tequila, triple sec, freshly squeezed blood oranges, and freshly squeezed lime juice. Shake it up in a cocktail shaker with lots of ice, and pour it into two glasses rimmed with salt. Cocktails for two, always!

Ingredients
4oz.silver tequila
2oz.triple sec- I like Cointreau
2oz.lime juice- freshly squeezed
6oz.blood orange juice- freshly squeezed
lots of ice
kosher salt- to rim the glasses
blood orange slices and lime slices- to serve
simple syrup- optional, for a sweeter taste
Instructions
Juice fruit. Juice the fruit, by using a citrus press to squeeze the blood oranges and limes.
Add ingredients to cocktail shaker. Measure all ingredients - tequila, triple sec, lime juice, freshly squeezed blood orange juice - and add to a cocktail shaker (or large mason jar).4 oz. silver tequila, 2 oz. triple sec, 2 oz. lime juice, 6 oz. blood orange juice
Prep glasses. Run a lime wedge around the rim of two glasss. Dip glasses in a plate of kosher salt. Add ice to the glasses and garnish with slices of blood oranges and limes.kosher salt, blood orange slices and lime slices, lots of ice
Shake and serve. Add ice to the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Pour into prepared glasses and enjoy. If you want a sweeter cocktail, add simple syrup.lots of ice, simple syrup
Notes
These margaritas are naturally sweetened with the beautiful blood oranges. Try them as is before you add sugar.
Freeze some orange juice into ice cubes and use them for these cocktails.
