Ingredients
3mediumrusset potatoes- sliced into fries
1/4cupolive oil
6-7clovesgarlic- minced
1teaspoononion powder
1teaspoonpaprika
1/4teaspooncayenne pepper- or more
kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper- to taste
chopped cilantro- to serve
Instructions
Prep oven. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Slice potatoes. Wash potatoes, and slice in half length-wise. Then continue slicing thin wedges, in the same direction (the long way). Place in a mixing bowl.3 medium russet potatoes
Add olive oil and seasonings. Pour the olive oil over the potatoes wedges, and toss. Sprinkle the seasoning blend over top of the potatoes, and mix with your hands to evenly distribute.1/4 cup olive oil, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Bake. Spread the cut fries in two rows on the prepared baking sheet, so that they aren’t touching each other. Bake for 15 minutes, carefully flip them, and then add the minced garlic.Bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until they are fork tender and golden brown. (Cooking time will vary.) Remove from the oven.6-7 cloves garlic
Check seasonings. Mince some cilantro, and sprinkle it over the baked fries. Taste, and add additional salt and pepper, if needed.chopped cilantro
To remove some of the starch, soak the raw potato wedges in cold water before baking. Make sure you dry them off before baking.
These fries are best served immediately.
You can reheat leftover fries by baking in the oven (again) for a few minutes, pan-frying in some olive oil in a cast iron skillet, or reheat in your air fryer.
