For The Fruit Filling:
4cupschopped apples- peeled and cored
2cupsfrozen blueberries
2Tablespoonsall-purpose flour
1/4cupbrown sugar
1teaspoonground cinnamon

For the Crumble:
1/2cupunsalted buttermelted
3/4cupall-purpose flour
3/4cupold-fashioned oatmeal
3/4cupbrown sugar
1teaspoonground cinnamon
1teaspoonkosher salt
Instructions
Prep apples. Peel and core the apples. Chop into small bite-sized pieces. Add to a 9x9 baking dish and squeeze the lemon over top.4 cups chopped apples, 1 large lemon
Combine the filling ingredients. Prep the crumble topping. In another bowl combine the topping - the flour, sugar, oatmeal, cinnamon, and salt. Pour the melted butter on top and stir to combine.3/4 cup all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup old-fashioned oatmeal, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/2 cup unsalted butter
Add crumble topping to the dish. Add the crumble on top of the filling and spread evenly to all sides of the pan.
Bake crisp. Bake apple blueberry crisp in a preheated 350-degree oven for 40-45 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. If you like your apples super soft, you may need to bake it for a little bit longer.
Serve. Serve the fruit crisp hot with some scoops of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
You can use fresh blueberries instead of frozen if desired.
Chopped nuts such as pecans or walnuts can be added to the topping for extra crunch and flavor.
