Ingredients
For the apples:
5largebaking apples- peeled and sliced
1/2fresh lemon- freshly squeezed
1/4cupbrown sugar
1teaspooncinnamon
2teaspoonscornstarch
For the topping:
1cupall-purpose flour
1/4cupgranulated sugar
1/2cupbrown sugar
1teaspoonbaking powder
1/2teaspoonkosher salt
2teaspoonsvanilla extract
1/2cupunsalted butter- melted
sparkling sugar- for topping
vanilla ice cream to serve
Instructions
Prepare the apples. Peel and slice the apples, and add to a mixing bowl. Then add the fresh lemon juice and stir.5 large baking apples, 1/2 fresh lemon
Add sweetener to apples. To the sliced apples, add the brown sugar, cinnamon, and corn starch – and mix well. Pour into a 9x9 baking dish.1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 2 teaspoons cornstarch
Bake the apples. Bake the apples for about 20 minutes on 400 degrees. This will ensure that the apples are soft.
Prepare the topping. In a mixing bowl, combine the topping ingredients – the flour, both sugars, baking powder, and salt. Then add the vanilla extract and melted butter and stir well.1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1/2 cup unsalted butter
Add topping to apples. Add topping mixture to the partially baked apples. You can use your fingers to add it. Then add some sparkling sugar to the top.sparkling sugar
Bake. Finish the cobbler by baking for another 20-25 minutes. If the topping starts to get too brown, you can cover it with foil for part of the baking time.
Serve. Serve this delicious apple cobbler with scoops of ice cream! Best eaten warm out of the oven!vanilla ice cream to serve

Use your favorite baking apples - Braeburn, Fuji, Gala, Granny Smith, Honey Crisp, Jonathan, etc.
Instead of using one kind of apple, feel free to mix a few different kinds.
