Ingredients
For the taco meat:
1Tablespoonextra-virgin olive oil
1poundground turkey
1/2cupyellow onion- diced
1mediumjalapeno- diced
2clovesgarlic- minced
2Tablespoonstaco seasoning
For the remaining ingredients:
24wonton wrappers
4oz.cheddar cheese
sliced tomatoes, pickled onions, sour cream, green onions, black olives, sliced avocado- optional toppings
Instructions
Preheat oven. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Make taco meat. In a large skillet, add olive oil over medium-high heat. Then add ground turkey, diced onions, and jalapeños, and cook until turkey is cooked completely. Use a wooden spoon to break the meat apart and stir frequently.1 Tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, 1 pound ground turkey, 1/2 cup yellow onion, 1 medium jalapeno
Add garlic and taco seasoning. Then add the minced garlic and taco seasoning and stir for another minute or two, stirring constantly. Remove pan from heat.2 cloves garlic, 2 Tablespoons taco seasoning
Add wontons to muffin pan. Prep a 12-cup muffin pan with baking spray. Add two wonton wrappers to each muffin cup, gently pressing one at a time into the cup. (Try not to rip them.) Use a brush to spread a little olive oil to the top of the wrappers.24 wonton wrappers
Add meat and cheese. Add half of the cheese to the bottoms of the wontons. Then divide the ground meat mixture between the 12 cups, followed by the remaining cheese.4 oz. cheddar cheese
Bake. Bake the wonton taco cups for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes
Store leftover taco cups in an airtight container in your refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave or an air fryer.
Possible Variations:
We occasionally add refried beans or a spoonful of black beans to the cups. Use about half of the meat in this case.
Change up the taco filling and use a different type of ground meat.
Instead of using wonton wrappers, try using a small flour tortilla in the little taco cups instead.
