2Tablespoonsolive oil
1/3cuponion- diced
2clovesgarlic- minced
30oz.fire-roasted diced tomatoes
1 ½Tablespoonstomato paste
1teaspoonsugar
1teaspoonItalian Seasoning
1teaspoonred pepper flakes
kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper- to taste
Instructions
Sauté veggies. In a sauce pan over medium-high heat, add olive oil and diced onions. Sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Then add garlic and stir for 30 seconds or so.2 Tablespoons olive oil, 1/3 cup onion, 2 cloves garlic,
Add remaining ingredients. Blend. You can choose to puree the sauce with an immersion blender (or regular blender) or leave it chunky style. That’s up to how you like your sauce!
Notes
Storing – Store this sauce in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Freezing – Freeze pizza sauce in an airtight container or freezer bag for up to two months. To use, set in refrigerator for a day to thaw or use your microwave on a defrost setting.
