Ingredients

  • 3 oz. red jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 12 oz. can frozen orange juice - softened
  • 12 oz. can frozen lemonade - softened
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 cups vodka - use a good quality
  • a spash of 7UP or Sprite - to serve
  • sugared cranberries - for serving, optional

Instructions

  1. Combine jello in boiling water until dissolved. Let it cool and then add to a large container (with lid).

  2. Add the softened frozen juice and lemonade, cold water, cranberry juice, and vodka. Stir well and freeze.

  3. To serve, scoop slush into glasses, with a spash of Sprite, along with some sugared cranberries on top.

Recipe Notes

To make sugared cranberries:

  1. Combine equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat and add cranberries. Let this come to room temp.
  3. Drain cranberries over a measuring cup (catching the simple syrup to add to other cocktails, if desired).
  4. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet. Arrange cranberries on top of the rack to let them dry.
  5. When the cranberries are dry, sprinkle sugar over them, and then roll the cranberries in the sugar.
  6. Store sugared cranberries in an airtight container in the freezer.
