It’s good to have a good cry and remember how blessed we are. It’s a time I will never forget and a call from my husband that I’ll never forget. A strong guy that rarely showed deep emotions who just broke down in tears as he told me the devastating news. We were scared and in disbelief. I can’t imagine all that you both went through. Then to hear of their Mom’s diagnosis right after seemed like such an unfair blow. We are so thankful that Mike is doing well and we have all been given the gift of more time with him. Love you guys!

Our family is blessed to have such great friends and family. It’s still very difficult to put my thoughts down on paper. I am grateful that Sue has shared this and I agree with Michelle. It takes the hard times for us to celebrate the good times. God has blessed me with a 2nd chance! A chance to be a better spouse, brother, son, dad and friend. To be my best self and to not take life for granted. I challenge myself everyday to be better. I win some and I lose some, but I keep trying.

I know this can be a difficult time of year for many, but we all have highs and lows. Every day, we have a choice on how we want to live and love. Life is Good!

I am grateful that God has given all of you more time. The Ringsdorf family has been so important to us. It has been amazing to watch Mike’s weight loss. We know once he sets his mind to something he will achieve it. So happy for you Mike. Tears are flowing, sad and happy tears! The “emotional” warning didn’t help me.
This blog reminds me of our last bible study which was titled, the Joy in Remembering. Even though each moment wasn’t happy, looking back helps us appreciate what we have now. The Bible say that we will have trials and tribulations but in remembering the good and bad times we know that we can Trust the Lord and lean not on our own understanding. He is in control and He has a plan. My favorite bible verse is, “This is the day, the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24
No matter what the day brings, the Lord knows what is best. Thanks for sharing.
